David “Rey” Picasso KO’S Jesús Adrián “Topito” Gómez in Mexico
Fresh faced Mexican super bantamweight contender Alan David “Rey” Picasso KO`d his compatriot, Jesús Adrián “Topito” Gómez in six rounds, last Saturday in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico.
“Rey” Picasso showed his flourishing ability and considerable power, piercing the defence of Jesús Adrián “Topito” Gómez with jolting jabs and long range but effective combinations in second round.
More of the same with Picasso (15-1-0, 6 ko’s) smartly solving the attempted pressure from Gómez (11-3-0, 8 ko’s), and based on boxing, distance management and good movement, he was able to avoid punishment while landing frequent clusters of his own telling blows.
Picasso, who is trained by Alfredo Caballero, landed a well timed left hook to the liver in the sixth, winding Gomez who winced and couldn`t beat the count.
